Initial discussion

Sentinel Environmental Intelligence exists to help those who own, manage and protect land establish the facts, make informed decisions and prevent environmental and rural crime.
We investigate to establish the truth. Where evidence supports an allegation, we say so. Where it does not, we say that with equal clarity.
Our mission is to make environmental crime harder to commit, harder to conceal and easier to prove through independent, intelligence-led investigation, objective analysis and uncompromising professional standards.
Intelligence work is undertaken by a trained intelligence professional, drawing on specialist training delivered by UK government and policing organisations. We combine rural understanding with modern investigative and analytical capability. The scale of an instruction may change. The standard applied to it does not.
A legitimate purpose, appropriate methods and activity justified by the significance of the problem.
Established facts, observation, intelligence and assessment are clearly distinguished. Alternative explanations and limitations are acknowledged.
Information is handled carefully, evidence provenance is recorded and conclusions are supported by an auditable explanation.

We assess suitability and agree the scope, professional output, commercial terms and arrangements for sharing information before work begins.
We apply the appropriate combination of investigation, evidence evaluation and analysis, keeping the work proportionate to the instruction.
You receive clear findings, the strength and limitations of the evidence, and practical recommendations for the next step.
